As part of his TV series Glutton for Punishment, Bob attempted to break or establish seven Guinness World Records.
In every episode in his series Glutton for Punishment, Bob has 5 days to train for a physically challenging, food-related skill. Then on the fifth day he is thrown to the wolves and has to compete in a professional competition, or rise to the occasion of a challenge. In season three of the series, Bob attempted to break a Guinness World Record for the most pancakes flipped in an hour. The episode was so successful that the Food Network asked Bob to create a season comprised exclusively of Guinness World Record attempts. He broke all seven of the records he attempted. Eight years later, he broke his 8th Guinness World Record record in Chatham, Ontario by leading a crew of locals to make the worlds largest Bloody Caesar Cocktail (recorded officially as the world’s largest Bloody Mary).
On July 11, 2008, at the Calgary Stampede, Bob attempted to break a Guinness World Record for the most pancakes made (poured, flipped and served) in one hour. He succeeded by flipping 559 pancakes.
On June 12, 2010 at the Jacksonville, Texas Tomato Festival, Bob attempted to break a Guinness World Record for the world’s largest bowl of salsa. He succeeded by slicing and dicing (along with a team of helpers) 2672 pounds of salsa.
On June 24, 2010, at the Festival De L’omelette Geante de Granby, Bob attempted to establish a new Guinness World Record for the most eggs cracked with one hand in a single hour. He succeeded by cracking 2069 eggs.
On July 5, 2010 at the Corsa Italia Festival in Toronto, Bob attempted to break a Guinness World Record for the most pizzas made (stretched, sauced, cheesed and fired) in a single hour. He succeeded by serving up 168 pizzas.
On July 18, 2010, at the Walla Walla Sweet Onion Festival, Bob attempted to break a 30-year-old Guinness World Record for the fastest time to peel 50 lbs of onions (3:18 minutes). He succeeded by peeling the lot in 2:39 minutes. The record still stands.
On August 7, 2010, in Yuma Arizona, Bob attempted to establish a new Guinness World Record for the most individual Caesar salads prepared in one hour. He succeeded by tossing 108 salads. The record still stands.
On Aug 30, 2010, at the Taipei Culinary Exhibition, Bob attempted to break a Guinness World Record for the most individual grains of rice picked up with a pair of chopsticks in three minutes. He succeeded by picking up 134 grains. The record still stands.
On Sept 19, 2018 at the International Plowing Match in Chatham, Ontario, Bob attempted to break a Guinness World Record for the world’s largest Bloody Mary. He succeeded by making a 580 litre cocktail. The record still stands.
